As we all know fashion is forever evolving. You can just imagine how looks have been refashioned since Australia’s first settlement in 1788!
I have always had an appreciation for all things style and design. We are so blessed in Australia to be surrounded by such incredible local designers. Until the 31st July 2016, the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) are running an exhibition which both showcases and celebrates 200 Years of Australian Fashion.
Last week I took my two best friends (who are also big on fashion) to see the exhibition and let’s just say we were definitely amazed by the history and ageless beauty of each piece.
As part of the exhibition, they run free guided tours which is fabulous. Our guide was so charismatic. I definitely recommend going on a tour as it’s a great way to discover each gown’s insightful back story.
I learnt so much whilst on the tour, and so I thought I’d be kind and share some of my favourite fashion-filled fun facts with you!
